Did you know that you can access a 30-day free trial of Sketch Up for Web? Once installed on your desktop or laptop you can start developing your computer-aided design skills and build a collection of projects through 3D modelling.

CAD Tutorials

If you’re unsure of where to start with Computer Aided Design or you think you’d benefit from a bit of guidance, YouTube has a wealth of video tutorials for students taking their first steps into CAD or those who want to use this time to brush up on their skills.

MasterSketchUp - Learn the complete basics of SketchUp along with more detailed and challenging tutorials to help you perfect your designs.

SourceCAD - Run by Jaiprakash Pandey, a Mechanical Engineer currently working as CAD Corporate trainer, his YouTube channel has over a hundred video tutorials for you to watch to help you build your confidence in using AutoCAD. Learn how to design intricate floor plans, practice your 2D and 3D drawings and find out about hidden features that will help you improve your designs.

Podcasts

Whether you’re looking for inspiration, creative ideas or maybe you just want to know more about the goings on in the interior design industry, these three podcasts are great ways to stay up to date and hear direct from the experts in the field. All podcasts are available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get listen to your podcasts.
