Honouring Australian writing, Elise won the fiction category for her incredibly well received new novel, The Madonna of the Mountains; congratulations Elise! You can find out more about all the nominees, their works and the competition within The Guardians, Herald Sun and The Sydney Morning Herald's amazing news articles.
Elise teaches the wonderfully engaging and truly inspiring Creative Writing – Fact or Fiction – Beginners course and, for those who wish to progress, the Creative Writing – Fact or Fiction – Intensive course as well. Having taught her very first class in 1997, you can also hear from Elise herself in our wonderful takeover blog from 2016 where she discusses and reflects upon the first creative writing course at CSM Short Courses.

Since then many wonderful students have attended Elise’s fabulous courses, delivered through dynamic group discussions and amazing feedback. Check out former student, Lori Smith’s, wonderful Rarely Wears Lipstick blog post, Creative Writing at Central Saint Martins. Whilst others have gone on to become nominated and award winning writers in their own rights.
