The information on this page is for:
- students joining us for the first time in 2022/23
- students progressing onto a new course at a different level (for example from our Foundation Diploma in Art and Design onto an undergraduate course)
If you're a returning student who already has a Student ID card, you don't need to collect a new one. If your Student ID card is lost, expired or faulty, contact the Student Centre at your College or Institute for guidance.
What to bring
When you arrive to collect your ID card or wristband, you’ll be asked to show the email confirming you’re enrolled (or you've started your enrolment).
The subject line will be:
- You have completed your online registration, or
- You are conditionally enrolled, or
- You are enrolled.

Collect your ID card from your College
Camberwell College of Arts
Foundation Diploma in Art and Design students can collect their ID cards or entry wristbands from the Lecture Theatre at our Wilson Road building, students on all other courses can collect their ID cards or wristbands from the Student Centre, Camberwell College of Arts. Please note that in line with government advice relating to The Queen’s Funeral, Monday 19 September has been declared a national bank holiday and therefore all our sites will be closed. Any students with collection slots designated for this day can collect their ID/wristbands anytime between Tuesday 20 September to Friday 23 September, 10am to 3pm.
Late collections are available from Monday 26 September to Friday 7 October, 10am to 3pm.
If you need to access a UAL site for an event or session before you’re designated collection slot, you can collect an entry wristband from the Welcome desk located in the reception area by showing an email with proof of enrolment or pre-enrolment.

Central Saint Martins
During welcome week (20 September – Saturday 24 September), you can access our Kings Cross building for Big Welcome or Get Ready events by collecting a wristband from the welcome desk located in the Granary building foyer (outside Reception) at Central Saint Martins. You simply need to provide your pre-registration confirmation email. Find Central Saint Martins.
From 26 September you can collect a wristband from the same welcome desk, which will be open 9am – 5pm. You will need to show your pre-registration confirmation email.
Your student ID cards will be given to you in one of your first classes as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend your classes or don’t collect your ID card, they will be available from the course support team at Reception.

Chelsea College of Arts
All ID cards or entry wristbands for new students can be collected from the Triangle Space, look out for signs directing you to the collection point. Find Chelsea College of Arts.

London College of Communication
Students can collect their ID cards from the Information Centre at the entrance to the LCC building from 12 September. The desk will be open Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm, except on Monday 19 September when all UAL sites will be closed.
Please note that, other than to collect ID cards, use the Library or for specific access to certain Big Welcome events, the LCC building is closed until the start of term on 26 September.

London College of Fashion
All ID cards for new students can be collected from the Terrace Space in the John Princes Street (JPS) campus. Look out for signs directing you to the Terrace on the first floor, on the right-hand side opposite the canteen. Find our John Prince's Street campus.

ID cards for students completing PhDs or MPhil courses will be available for collection outside reception at our Kings Cross site, find Central Saint Martins. You can collect your ID card on the following dates:

Wednesday 28 September 2022 2.30pm-5.00pm
