Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, PRC: Digital Publishing Training

Phoenix Publishing and Media Group is one of the biggest state-owned publishing companies in China. They have come to London three times on lengthy study visits with us.

Courses were designed in conjunction with the PPMG head office in Nanjing and draws on our expertise, facilities and networks. The attendees benefit from our knowledge in cultural industries management, international trade, publishing technology and policy. The study visits incorporate teaching by our expert staff and industry insiders. The courses we have run for PPMG include:

• Digital Publishing and the Creative Economy
• Cultural Exchange and Trading in the Open Data Era
• Human Resource Management

The delegates from PPMG have also had the opportunity to visit the Publisher Association, IPC Media (now called Time Inc.), the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, Open Data Institute and the Economist offices.

We would like to work with LCC, to provide bespoke courses with different themes, train more Chinese creative industry practitioners, and people who work in other areas but are interested in learning more about English culture and the creative industries.

London is the city known for its creative industry, while LCC is known as a leader in providing a platform for creative education and business growth.

A Memorandum of Understanding signed in Epping, Essex marks the relationship between UAL and PPMG.
