Nadine joined us here at Chelsea and Camberwell Colleges of Art during the summer of 2019. During her stay she chose to take three 5-day short courses for 14 - 17 year olds; Digital Animation for 14 - 17 Year Olds, Contemporary Digital Art for 14 - 17 Year Olds and Illustration for Comics for 14 - 17 Year Olds - three courses that perfectly compliment each other! We chatted to her about why she wanted to study with us in London and how the courses helped her expand her skillset.

How has your short course(s) benefited your career, education and/or personal development?
I feel as though I expand my skillset with every short course I take which allows me to diversify my portfolio and boosts my confidence as a growing artist.

Where are you planning to use your new creative skills?
I have made great use of the skills I learnt in the Digital Art course and have made several artworks digitally that I share on my Instagram page.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about taking a short course at Camberwell, Chelsea or Wimbledon Colleges of Arts?
You may think you cannot learn a lot in the few days of the short course but the helpful advisors and their way of teaching really make everything you learn stick with you to be applied in the future.

What characteristics do you think are vital to becoming a successful artist/creative, in any discipline?
Be original, have confidence in your ideas and know-how to present them.

What 3 words best describe your Short Course experience?
Informative, busy, educational.
