Certificates and transcripts

Your degree certificate and transcripts are proof that you completed your studies and shows what you’ve achieved to prospective employers and other officials. As we are working offsite, our services have changed. Please review our guidance carefully and contact us.

Certificates

We' re only able to work offsite, so we cannot issue replacement certificates at this time. We can offer a free confirmation of your award in the meantime.

If you studied at UAL after 2004, we can confirm:

  • your name
  • your date of birth
  • your qualification title
  • the date and level of your award.

If you studied with us earlier than 2004:

  • we will confirm your award with the information we have, where possible.

Transcripts

If you completed your studies after 2018:

  • We can email your transcript

If you studied with us between 2008 and 2017:

  • we can send you a digital document with your marks and the grading structure
  • we cannot print a  hard copy or send it in the post to a third party.

If you studied prior to 2008:

  • We'll advise you on what we can issue. This is because UAL courses became credit-rated at different times.
  • If we cannot issue a transcript, we will send a confirmation letter.

Confirmation Letters

We can send you a digital letter that will confirm:

  • your name
  • date of birth
  • your qualification title
  • the date and level of award

We cannot post physical documents at this time.

References

We will continue to respond to references through HEDD (Higher Education Degree Datacheck).
