Publications

The Publications workshop offers digital print production facilities and a bindery workshop to help CSM students to produce book projects and short-run publications (multiple copies). Facilities include a Xerox printing press, riso printer, folding machine, paper drill, electric guillotine, large format trimmer and round corner puncher.

Publications can mean a number of different things: postcards, fliers, pamphlets, paperbacks, hardbacks, etc. and they can all be made in the workshop, under the guidance of technical staff. The workshop does not operate as a bureau service – students are encouraged to bring their publication ideas and plans, and receive feedback, advice and technical support throughout the production process.

We have worked hard to design the best possible print production workflow while offering a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, hoping students and staff will feel a sense of co-ownership of the space.Students from core courses will be able to book access after an initial consultation. Academic staff can also book the space for special projects, co-teaching and to arrange group inductions.
