Central Saint Martins students came together with sustainable brand Edun and the Ethical Fashion Initiative's (EFI) artisans in Burkina Faso to create sustainably-produced textiles and fashion using traditional techniques.
Students from BA Textile Design: Weave Pathway were challenged to design sustainable woven textiles that could be created on traditional looms available to artisans in Burkina Faso. Once swatches had been created by EFI's artisans, these materials were used by BA Fashion Design with Marketing (FDM) students to create stunning fashion designs.
