We offer fun and creative short courses for kids and teens aged 11 to 18. Taught by college staff and industry experts, students get first-hand experience of studying at UAL’s renowned London Colleges, both on-campus and online.

UAL Short Courses provide students of every level with the chance to enrich their knowledge and build practical skills across a wide range of subjects such as fine art, fashion design, film, and graphic design.

Our courses are tailored by age group:

  • Ages 11 to 15 focus on experimentation, building confidence, finding inspiration and discovering new creative outlets.
  • Ages 16 to 18 are focused on portfolio development, technical mastery, and building transferable skills while gaining a first-hand look at university life and career pathways.

Our courses offer students the opportunity to:

  • Study in the same state-of-the-art studios as our degree students.
  • Create high-quality work tailored for further education applications.
  • Gain clarity on subject choices for future university or career decisions.
  • Learn from industry professionals and expert UAL Short Courses tutors.
  • Receive a UAL Short Courses digital badge and certificate.

Summer School 2026

Summer School 2026 courses are now available for booking. Running from June to September, our twelve-week Summer School offers a range of courses from two days to three weeks, and are a great option for kids and teens wanting to stay creative in the summer months and get a taste of life at UAL.

Whatever the creative interest, you’ll find something inspiring at our world-class campuses, including Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Fashion and London College of Communication.

UAL offers affordable and convenient short-term and long-term summer accommodation in central London to students who are 16 to 18 years old. Accommodation is exclusively available to students with a confirmed booking for an on-site Summer School 2026 course (11-15 or 16-18 years old). Please note accommodation is unsupervised.
