Woman speaking through a mega phone which was part of an exhibit for the Google project

Celebrating the new Google building in King’s Cross, Google worked with students from MA Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins to design a series of 6 interactive installations on King’s Boulevard. The designs were presented at London Festival of Architecture in collaboration with Camden.

Through processes of co-discovery and design, the production of each installation responded to the innovation and ambitions of Google’s development in King’s Cross. Thinking about how the site might act as a source of inspiration for young people to get involved in technology, the designs offered a site for participation, interpretation, discussion and play in relation to one of London’s pioneering architectural projects and the communities it will engage with in the future.
