Ground floor

The metal fabrication workshop has space to construct large works and is equipped with Mig welders, a large plasma cutter, metal folders, plate roller, guillotine, chip forge and pipe benders.

This workshop works in close proximity to the ground floor Wood workshop, as well as the Casting and Paint/Surface workshops and the team on the first floor.

First floor

The Metal workshop is part of the 3D Make workshops, which incorporates the Wood, Metal, General and Open Access Space on the first floor, as well as the Wood and Metal workshops on the ground floor.

The workshop is focused around making for design-based students working to brief, or as individuals and supports work where accuracy is necessary in the design process, as well as general metal fabrication. It is equipped with a variety of equipment for cutting, shaping, drilling and milling as well as welding, lathe and a large shot blaster. It works in close proximity to both the general, wood and Digital Fabrication Bureau on the first floor.
