The Costume workshop supports courses in the Performance Programme and is divided into two areas: the Costume Studio and the Costume Store.
In terms of equipment we have several industrial/domestic sewing machines, overlockers industrial irons. There are cutting tables and a large selection of ladies and men’s tailoring dummies. The Costume Studio is set up with areas for sewing, costume fabrication and experimentation. The Costume Store houses a diverse range of costumes from historical pieces to the weird and wonderful with a large range of accessories.
Students have made experimental costume constructions, dance garment pieces, historical period costumes and fantastical costume props.
While any student is welcome to visit us, our workshop is used primarily by Performance Programme students.
