Biography

I am Course Leader for MA Arts and Cultural Enterprise, Curator in Practice for BA (Hons) Culture, Criticism and Curation and PhD supervisor. I am an independent curator, critic, lecturer, exhibition and project manager with longstanding experience in commercial and non-commercial environments within the art world in the UK.

I began my career working for the Showroom Gallery in East London in the 1990s. I later worked for Stephen Friedman Gallery as a technical director working closely with artists such as Yinka Shonibare, Jim Hodges and Thomas Hirshhorn to realise exhibition projects in galleries and museums worldwide. I have curated independent exhibitions in London, Birmingham, Düsseldorf and New Delhi, among others and my projects have been supported by Arts Council England and the Elephant Trust.
