Deepan Sivaraman

Deepan is an award-winning scenographer and theatre director from India presently based in London. Deepan is a Central Saint Martins graduate and the Artistic Director of Oxygen Theatre Company in Kerala. 

Presently he is researching and teaching at Wimbledon College of Art. His recent play Spinal Chord received ten nominations out of 13 categories for India's Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards 2010, and won seven awards including Best Play of the year, Best Direction, Best Set Design and Best Choreography.

Deepan also received a Kerala State Theatre Academy Honorary Award for theatre direction and his works represented Indian Scenography at the Prague Quadrennial 2011, which is the world's largest scenography event.

His productions have participated in festivals such as Avignon (France), Edinburgh (UK), and Alameda (Portugal). Deepan is a visiting faculty at International Summer Academy of Venice, National School of Drama New Delhi and Central University of Hyderabad.
