Ornella Kolle is a graduate of BA (Hons) Advertising at London College of Communication.
In October 2012, I had the opportunity to spend some time in the planning department at AKQA, and I realised that strategic planning sounded good as a job. Research, trend forecasting and how to be strategic and creative are things I’d love to do on a daily basis.
France, I’ve been living in Paris most of my life.
My computer and the Internet
I started my own magazine amusementsmag.com after a project at university in January. When the third term was over, I needed an internship to improve my English and tie in with my magazine, so I took a creative assistant position at Idol Magazine. It has been six great months so far. I have networked, discovered a new London and spent the whole summer brainstorming about creative subjects.
I’d love to collaborate with Charlie Dark from Run Dem Crew. I had to interview him for a feature in Idol Magazine and he’s one of those really inspiring people you could be friends with. It was showed me how important youth culture is and I agree 100% with him. I’d like to create more opportunities for the Youngers in London.
I love soul and R&B from the 70s but sometimes 90s London sounds too.
Without doubt Los Angeles, California. That’s my dream. I’d love to move there after my studies. Please someone give me a job there!
As I mentioned before, I’d love to be a strategic planner for an agency, straight after university, preferably in America, but if I get a job in London, I wouldn’t mind either. Then obviously a big house, dog and cats.
I love spending a lot of time at the library (something that I never found that exciting before). I never really go to the silent zone because I do enjoy the effervescence and the people chatting, laughing and working beside me. It’s one of the best way to meet other students from other courses without getting drunk. There, you make valuable contacts.
London is open to creativity and the weird. And I do enjoy being weird and creative. It really feels, for the first time since I started going to school, like I can be myself without people judging me. And I can actually feel it in my grades, my attitude towards going to university every morning.
I often go to CSM library. I sit by the window and work from there, it is so relaxing.
University is just an open door to more fun. Don’t think that because you are going to university everything is done. Explore more, start side projects, meet people and most importantly ENJOY YOURSELF. If you just think about university as a boring place where you’ll get a degree that will get you a job, you are under estimating the power of university.
I'm just the shy one in the spotlight, always. So every time I tell people I'm shy, I’m just looking like that idiot with zero credibility.
crazy, sexy, cool
