3D Workshop

In the 3D Workshop, you will have access to a wide range of tools and technologies from traditional woodworking to digital fabrication.

We have dedicated wood and plastic workshops as well as a laser cutting, 3D printing and scanning facilities. The 3D workshop team are onsite to support all manner of 3D making.

Woodwork and Plastic

In the Wood Workshop you will find a CNC router, bandsaws, table saws, drills and sanders. In the Plastics Workshop you can recycle milk bottles, vacuum form plastics, cut polystyrene and bend rigid plastics. There is also a spray room and fume cabinet for using spray paints and glues safely.

Digital Fabrication

In the 3D printing department, we have a bank of Ultimaker FDM printers and a Form 3 SLS Printer for finer details. There is also a 3D scanner for scanning objects to create digital 3D models. In the laser cutting bureau we have 3 Trotec laser cutters which can cut wood plastic and card, as well as 2 small vinyl cutters for creating graphics.
