Studio A, Performance Laboratory

The Performance Laboratory is the main teaching space for BA (Hons) Sound Arts and MA Sound Arts. The lab operates as our flagship multi-channel diffusion (surround sound) environment and primary ‘live room’ recording space connecting through to the Composition Studio.

Composition Studio

The Composition Studio is the central hub of our facility. With precision image Genelec monitoring calibrated for stereo and multi-channel electro-acoustic work. The composition studio is used by Sound Arts and Design students for a range of Recording, Mixing, Editing and Composition purposes. Serving as control room for the adjacent Foley room and Performance lab.

Bantam Jack Patchbay Studio Connectivity with XLR, Headphone, Line Level, HDMI & Ethernet Cat6 tie lines between the Composition Studio, Performance Lab and Foley Room.

Large Sound Studio

The Large Sound Studio is our primary Mac Lab, with 20 fully equipment digital audio workstations and synthesis workbench. The studio is an open workspace for students, whilst also being used for teaching delivery.
