During the 3-week Digital Photography Portfolio course, you will develop new technical and creative skills in digital photography while deepening your understanding of the history, theory, and practice of the medium. As you research and photograph London, you will advance your abilities in creative camera control, digital workflow, retouching, studio and location shooting, and the effective use of lighting, framing, and subject interaction. You will also strengthen your portfolio development and presentation skills.
The course offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in London’s vibrant galleries, museums, and cultural centres, while receiving feedback and participating in discussions with your tutor and peers. The assignments will enhance your creative camera control as well as develop your conceptual awareness. You can choose to work individually, or with your fellow students. You will engage in group discussions of each others' work alongside your tutor.

You will be shooting briefs on subjects such as street photography, portraiture, conceptual photography and photojournalism.
Week two: We will begin with an introduction to lighting on location and lead on to a series of guided assignments in the studios. Here, your group will be taught how to execute a photographic vision. This will be achieved via brainstorms and mood-boards before getting expert practical advice on how to use a top end photo studio.
Week three: With what you have learnt from the first two weeks, you will now focus on building your portfolio. You will have one-to-one tutorials to help galvanise your ideas and technical workshops.
