Royal College of GPs

The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) worked with London College of Communication students to create exciting new ways to communicate with GPs.

The RCGP is the professional membership body for family doctors in the UK and overseas. They are committed to improving patient care, clinical standards and GP training, but communicating complex information to extremely busy GPs is not always easy.

RCGP turned to LCC students from BA (Hons) Animation and BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design to develop new ways to tell their members about the clinical audit and to encourage them to use quality improvement methodology.

Students from BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design designed a range of assets to promote good practice in clinical audits, creating designs for printed posters and leaflets, email templates, animations and gifs.

Meanwhile students from BA (Hons) Animation created two short animations that will encourage RCGP members to use quality improvement methodology in their work. The two animations used different approaches – beauty and humour – to tackle the challenge, giving RCGP two animations they can use at events, on their website and on social media.

The designs and animations that LCC students have produced will now help RCGP continue to support their members in innovative new ways.
