General facilities

At London College of Communication, you'll find a range of facilities to support your learning and day-to-day life at the College.

Learning and support facilities

Information Centre

Need help or have a question? The Information Centre is a good place to start. Our team can help with a wide range of enquiries, while floor walkers are on hand around the building to offer support. Interactive screens also give you quick access to information about your course, the College and UAL.

Library

The Library is a place to study, research and work with others. You’ll find books, journals and digital resources, alongside quiet study areas, group work spaces and technology-enabled facilities.

Library staff are on hand to help with research, resources and finding what you need. There are also comfortable spaces to read, focus or work with others. With extended opening hours and accessible facilities, the Library is designed to support you throughout your time at LCC.

Teaching and presentation spaces

Cinema

Our 100-seat Cinema features 7.1 surround sound and a 5.6m x 3.2m LED wall. The space will mainly support Film and Television teaching, with opportunities for other students to use it for activities and events when available.

Lecture Halls

The College has two large teaching spaces on level 5 and level 9, designed for large seminars or lectures. Both house 5.4m x 3.0m LED screens, including relay screens and surround sound. Seating is flexible, so the space can be reconfigured for workshops or collaborative breakout sessions. The spaces will also be used for events and conferences.

Lecture Theatre

Our 300-seat Lecture Theatre incorporates a 7.3m x 4.1m LED wall and is equipped with 7.1 Surround Sound. The space can be used for teaching and learning activities as well as events with external visitors, including industry speakers.

Creative and collaborative spaces

Neighbourhoods and Commons

The building's Commons  are designed to help you to continue learning outside of the classroom. Each of these flexible shared spaces is designed around your subject of study and the way you learn. You can use them for collaboration, group work, private study and in some areas of making. Each Commons area is intended for self-directed learning and  contains computing, innovative furniture and tutorial areas. The spaces also feature a high level of planting, with an emphasis on wellbeing.

Gallery spaces

LCC is dedicated to giving our students opportunities to showcase their work, and to help you reach as wide an audience as possible. We have designed our new building to include several large gallery and exhibition spaces across the building. These bring together students, staff and visitors, creating opportunities to experience new ideas and connect with the wider creative community.
