Marta De Prisco is a sustainability and communications strategist, formerly a student from BA (Hons) Design Management. She works with NGOs, startups, and creative brands to craft meaningful stories around climate action and design.
Tell us a little bit about you, what are you working at the moment?
I’m a sustainability and communications strategist, working with organisations to tell meaningful stories about climate action and design. Right now, I’m balancing freelance work with NGOs, startups, and creative brands, where I translate complex topics like ESG reporting and biodiversity into accessible campaigns, reports, and visuals.
Why did you choose to study your course at LCC and how has it helped you to get where you are now?
I chose London College of Communication because I wanted a place where design wasn’t just about aesthetics, but about ideas and impact. The course gave me both the creative tools and critical framework to shape narratives, which has been central to my career in sustainability communications.

What was the highlight of studying at LCC?
For me, it was the international mix of people and perspectives. Being surrounded by such a range of creative voices expanded my own way of thinking and prepared me for the cross-disciplinary collaborations I lead today.
What kinds of projects and collaborations did you work on during the course?
I worked across photography, writing, and design projects. One highlight was a visual storytelling project on urban identity, which pushed me to combine documentary and experimental approaches. I also worked on live briefs with students from other disciplines, which mirrored the collaborative nature of my current work.

What top tips would you give for prospective students who are applying to study at the postgraduate level at LCC?
Be open to experimentation and use the resources around you. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone or mix mediums. The value of LCC lies as much in the conversations and networks you build as in the coursework itself.
