Biography

Dr. Joanne Woodman is an Associate Lecturer on BA (Hons) Public Relations and BA (Hons) Media Communications at London College of Communication.

Joanne has over fifteen years experience in teaching and academic leadership in Higher Education. Before joining the faculty at UAL as an Associate Lecturer, Joanne helped to develop and taught on degrees in Public Relations and Media and Communications at Canterbury Christ Church University.

In 2016 she was awarded a faculty prize for teaching innovation and she is a member of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) and Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

Joanne completed her PhD at Birkbeck, University of London in 2005. Her research interests include gender and the media and the pedagogy of Higher Education, especially the role of students as co-producers in learning and teaching
