Essential coronavirus info We are continuing to welcome our new and returning students. Your safety is our first priority.
Marco is part of the Learning Technology Support team at London College of Communication. He manages the Tech-Talk Area and leads regular tech-talks and workshops on various software throughout the year. He specialises in audio and video production and does freelance work in those fields.
I work in the Digital Space, which is a creative learning hub for LCC - a place where students can work on their projects and get dedicated help from technician. We run workshops teaching software and provide the aftercare within the space to students who want further help and advice on their projects.
I’m English/Filipino born in America. I grew up in the Philippines, Italy, Switzerland and the UK. England is my home, for now.
My main role at LCC is to help students expand their creative digital literacy and I’m always trying to find new ways of helping them experiment with different tools, using software and mobile technology for a variety of purposes.
In my own practice I do a lot of video work with a particular interest in time-lapse. I’m also very interested in sustainable design and interactivity and I’ve been working collaboratively with students and staff on several projects that incorporate both those themes.
I enjoy teaching students and seeing the results of what they’ve learnt come to life in their projects. I really enjoy the opportunities to collaborate and get involved in interesting projects around the college and I think it is a perfect place for it. There’s always something happening somewhere.
Buzzing, Busy, Bold.
London has loads on offer. Food, galleries, events, gigs, green space, gritty space. It’s nice to be working in the midst of it all and have the option to be as busy as you want to be or find quiet spots as well.
Learn. Take every opportunity you can get hold of - make the most of your time, collaborate, work on side projects, get experience and make tight connections for the future. Be nice.
