Liz Miller is a Specialist Technician. She works in the intaglio workshop, part of the Print and Design department.

Cartography is a recurrent theme in my work. I like to create maps and diagrams about ideas and concepts that aren’t strictly thought of as map-able.
I’m a traditional etcher by trade and my work usually includes an element of printmaking. But the final outcome of a project can range from live performance events to animations or land art projects. I’m an admirer of many disciplines and frequently collaborate with specialists from music, architecture, dance or even science.
The students that come up to use the print facilities are such a dynamic and dedicated group. It is a pleasure to pass on the skills of printmaking to up-and-coming artists and designers.
Emma McNally is my current obsession but Charles Rennie Mackintosh is a long time favourite of mine.
