Biography
James's background is as an academic lawyer. He has extensive teaching experience across all academic levels and different types of provision and has won an award for excellence in the facilitation of learning.
James and his team lead the development and implementation of the College’s strategies for learning and teaching, retention and attainment, improving the student learning experience and staff development.
He also oversees the operation of academic development and quality processes at the LCC, and his team deliver a range of staff and student-facing academic support services, working closely with the Design School, Media School and Screen School.
Prior to commencing LCC in March 2013, James was Head of Student Learning Experience and Quality at the University of Bath. He has also previously worked at the universities of Sussex, Brighton and Bournemouth.
