At London College of Communication, you will have access to a range of resources, workspaces, and studios that support Lens-Based and Audio-Visual practices.
Image Capture Studios
Image Capture Studios provide full technical support to college wide students and offer the following facilities:
- Two fully equipped studios supporting photography and moving image production.
- A copy stand and still life surface (3D table).
- Film processing service.
- Darkrooms with enlargers for black and white printing.
- A digital suite for scanning negatives and creating exhibition quality, archival inkjet prints.
- A photogrammetry suite for the production of 3d digital assets from real objects.
Audio-Visual and Live Events
The Audio-Visual and Live Events team offer advice and technical expertise with anything AV related, whether that’s setting up your summer show, sorting out a special event or preparing a lecture theatre.
Black Box Project Space
The Black Box Project Space is a multi-purpose space used for video productions. It has a large floor area and ceiling height and offers full black-out curtain and a green screen wall for special effects.
The Kit Room
The Kit Room is just that: a room with a whole range of audio-visual kit that you can borrow, including digital SLR cameras, video cameras, sound recording equipment, lighting and much more.
Please note: Resources may require inductions before allowing access and are prioritised for certain courses.
