BA (Hons) Information and Interface Design is a design-led, digitally-focused course exploring user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design for current and emerging technologies. Building on a foundation of graphic design, students apply the digital skills of coding, motion graphics and information design, preparing them to work in specialised screen-based areas, such as design for the web, app design and interactive data visualisation.

In this Course Snapshot, we look at what ideas and projects BA (Hons) Information and Interface Design students have been working on over the past few months.

Emergency shelter delivery system

This control interface by Michelle Chong is for an automatic emergency shelter delivery system. The idea is that emergency supplies can be delivered to trouble spots automatically.

Fela Kuti timeline

This interactive timeline by Mateusz Gryta tells the story of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti through his album covers.

History of typography timeline

This piece by Sheik Nasar scrolls interactively through the history of a selection of key western typefaces.

Art theft prevention system

This design by Mike Stashkiv is for a fleet of trucks that deliver art to museums worldwide. They can be tracked online from the point of departure to arrival.
