Jill studied Graduate Diploma Photography at London College of Communication (LCC).

What made you choose that particular course?

I really liked the practical application of the course and the ability to produce work within my area of interest.

Where are you from in the world?

I am from the US and currently live in Los Angeles, California.

What are you working on/where are you working at the moment?

I am producing a still and video series on ‘The Greatest Modern Designers of Our Time’.

Can you describe your work in your own words? (Ideas that shape it, stories you want to tell, a person, artist, place or subject that inspires you).

I love to capture modern design and the people who create it. My style is clean, elegant, emotive and emanates a sense of place.

Name three things you couldn't be creative without:

Travel, great food and wine and Photoshop.

If you could collaborate creatively with anybody in the world who would it be? (Or maybe you already have?).

Zaha Hadid

Tell us about your future plans and ambitions

I plan to continue my still work, while expanding my capacity as a motion director.

What did you enjoy most about LCC?

The diversity of the students and access to great resources.

Have you been back to LCC since graduating, and for what reason?

I have been back as a guest lecturer and Fulbright Grant recipient.

What’s the best exhibition you’ve seen recently?

Helmut Newton in Berlin.

What piece of advice would you give to new students?

Take advantage of all the resources LCC has to offer while you’re here. Also, make an effort to collaborate with the many talented students from other departments.
