Upgrade Your Future Path

Upgrade Your Future Path is a hybrid programme of events aimed at final year students and recent graduates of London College of Communication (LCC) who are interested in finding out more about career paths in the creative industries.

What do we offer?

With a focus on connecting academia with professional expertise, our programme provides support through 3 key activities.

1-to-1 Industry Mentoring (Online and in-person approach)

Our 1-1 industry mentoring programme aims to encourage and support graduating students to take the next step in their career development.

Together, mentors and mentees catch up regularly to explore a variety of ideas and aspirations tailored to specific goals. This helps students to feel more confident, informed and engaged in the professional landscape while also enabling mentors to further develop their own skillset and build new connections across our vibrant College community.

Key dates:

  • Mentee training session: Tuesday 28 June 2022 (online)
  • Mentor training session: Wednesday 29 June 2022 (online)
  • Programme runs from July to October, consisting of 5 mentoring sessions.

Mentor and mentee applications for the summer programme are now closed.

1-1 Portfolio Reviews (Online)

What does a successful graphic design, photography, PR or art direction portfolio look like? Discover ways to present both digital and physical work at our intensive 25-minute Portfolio Reviews sessions. Find out from industry experts what they look for when viewing work such as websites, sketchbooks, photography, personal statements or CVs.

Book a free ticket for July portfolio reviews taking place 20 and 27 July

Speed Networking (In-person)

In ‘speed dating’ fashion, speed networking events enable students to engage with industry professionals, helping them to practice their networking skills while expanding their professional networks.

Book a free ticket for the Speed Networking event on Thursday 7 July. Please note that this event is taking place at an external venue, SAMA Bankside.
