Upgrade Your Future Path

Upgrade Your Future Path is a hybrid programme of events aimed at postgraduate students and recent graduates of London College of Communication (LCC) who are interested in finding out more about career paths in the creative industries.

What do we offer?

With a focus on connecting academia with professional expertise, our programme provides support through 3 key activities:

1-to-1 Industry Mentoring (Online)

Our 1-1 industry mentoring programme aims to encourage and support graduating students to take the next step in their career development.

Together, mentors and mentees regularly catch up online to explore a variety of ideas and aspirations tailored to specific goals. This helps students to feel more confident, informed and engaged in the professional landscape while also enabling mentors to further develop their own skillset while building new connections across our vibrant College community.

1-1 Portfolio Reviews (Online)

Our 1-1 Portfolio Reviews are intensive, 25-minute sessions that offer an opportunity for students and recent graduates to explore effective ways of showcasing their work.

Speed Networking (Physical)

In ‘speed dating’ fashion, speed networking events enable students to engage with industry professionals, enabling them to practice their networking skills while expanding their professional networks.

In addition to taking part in 1-1 Industry Mentoring, mentors and mentees can also choose to participate in either one or both of the Portfolio Reviews and Speed Networking sessions.

When will Upgrade Your Future Path take place?

The 1-1 Industry Mentoring programme runs for 6 months from January to June 2022. The portfolio reviews and speed networking event will take place between January and March 2022.
