Biography

I am a movement director, facilitator and teacher. I have worked nationally and internationally as a theatre director and teacher, devising and collaborating on productions and projects with some of the world’s most acclaimed companies and institutions.

I graduated with a 1st class BA(Hons) in Physical Theatre from East 15 Acting School and have since trained extensively in Biomechanics, ensemble devising and contemporary movement practices.

As a facilitator and associate I have worked with the Barbican, Brixton Project, Complicité, David Glass Ensemble, HOME, National Children’s Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra Tamasha, Redbridge Drama Centre and more. In 2022 I graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama MA Movement: Directing and Teaching.

He has taught at ALRA, Central School of Speech and Drama, Central Saint Martins, East 15 Acting School, Liverpool School of Theatre, and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Alongside work as a movement director and teacher, I am Artistic Director of the award-winning Babel Theatre where I oversee the creative direction and implementation of arts programs and projects across the country. Babel creates raw, provocative, powerful, visual performances that aim unpack the contemporary experience of living.

I am passionate about 21st century creative training, contemporary devising practices, ensemble theatre making, and making creative experiences inclusive and accessible. I have recently worked alongside Lambeth Council and The Brixton Project and deliver Rooted, a new creative arts program exploring the post-colonial body, and with Make it in Brixton and the Mayor’s Creative Enterprise Zone supported projects with White Allies which invites white people to investigate how they have profited from racism and oppression.
