In 2014, students from BA Graphic Design began a project tackling homogeneity in hospital wards. Two years later, after installation (and the students’ graduation) we celebrate two wonderful schemes.
Working with Vital Arts, BA Graphic Design students were invited to tour Thistle Ward at Newham Hospital. Graphic Design tutor Luise Vormittag explains:
I like taking people out of the College into other environments where they encounter other types of people, other types of concerns, I want them to think about how they might implement design in those contexts, where people by default aren’t particularly interested in the arts, but where you could address a problem with design. In this case, it worked really well.
Initially looking to commission one scheme, Vital Arts ended up selecting two! Read the full story here.
