MA Dramatic Writing

Following a successful debut, MA Dramatic Writing has launched The Year of Experimentation: Part Two.

Led by Course Leader Jennifer Tuckett and top industry trailblazers, the year will explore the future of dramatic writing training.

Jennifer explains: “There are two objectives really: to find out what’s the best model for our course at Central Saint Martins and to explore what can be done with dramatic writing training in the UK.

“We want to see what’s working, what’s not working and what the future could be. It’s also a chance to see how the industry and the College can best work together.”

All-star cast
The Year of Experimentation: Part One culminated in a three-day festival last summer, attended by hundreds of members of the general public and industry.

For part two, ten dramatic writing professionals will lead our students in a series of investigations. The cast of experts includes John Yorke, creator of the BBC Writers Academy, and Kate Rowland, founder of BBC Writersroom.

Jennifer says: “I believe this is the first time these people, who’ve led the way in training dramatic writers in the UK, have all come together. That is really unique.”
