Roof terrace

Plants and flowers in containers on a roof

Outdoor roof space with active dye garden at the top of the Granary building.

Maintained by Roof Bugs Society, plants are grown in our dye garden to extract natural dyes for our print and dye studio.

Using the terrace

  • Do not go beyond the handrail barriers.
  • Strictly a no-smoking area.
  • Please take any rubbish away with you.
  • Take care in wet weather when decking may be slippery
  • Please respect our neighbours and do not use speakers
  • No ball games
  • Don't bring inside furniture out to the terrace as it will not be weatherproof.
  • Please respect our plants and trees. These are carefully maintained by students and staff.
