The Latin American Fashion Awards celebrate the most exciting creative voices from across Latin America, bringing together global industry leaders, press and artists at events across Milan, Paris, New York and the region. At the November 2025 edition, several CSM graduates stood out for their contributions.

Silvana Trevale — Emerging Fashion Photographer of the Year (2025)

A 2020 graduate, Silvana Trevale was recognized for a photographic practice deeply rooted in her Venezuelan identity. Her work tells intimate stories of her homeland, using photography to uncover hidden narratives and amplify diverse perspectives. She was also the first photographer commissioned for Malala Yousafzai’s 'Against All Odds' initiative - a project documenting the life of Carmen, a young Venezuelan girl aspiring to work in medicine.

Daniela Benaim Benhamu — Finalist, Fashion Film of the Year (2025)

Also graduating in 2020, Daniela Benaim Benhamu was spotlighted for a fashion film that blends photography, editing, music and poetry to explore migration, memory and ritual. Her work draws on mythology, literature and feminist surrealist artists such as Leonora Carrington and Remedios Varo. A former recipient of the LVMH Grand Prix Scholarship during her MA studies, she went on to join Burberry’s art direction team for four years - experience that continues to shape her award-winning visual storytelling.

Farid Renais Ghimas was a finalist for the Paris Photo / Aperture PhotoBook Awards, marking a significant achievement in one of the world’s most competitive photobook competitions.

For current CSM students, these achievements demonstrate the breadth of opportunities available after graduation - across fashion houses, galleries, film, editorial and global cultural organizations. The MA Fashion Image programme’s emphasis on experimentation, cultural narrative and interdisciplinary practice continues to equip graduates with the tools to influence global conversations in fashion and beyond.

These alumni illustrate that success in the field is not just about aesthetics — it’s about storytelling, community, activism and the ability to communicate new perspectives through powerful visual language.
