Tisya Khanna

Tisya Khanna is a London-based designer whose practice interrogates the garment as a potent argument: a medium through which complex enquiries are distilled into catalysts for social and cultural critique. Rooted in an unconventional background, her work seeks to deconstruct prevailing frameworks, translating structural observations into precise visual forms.

Her design language is shaped by a tension between disciplined construction and spontaneous improvisation, drawing on a diverse range of influences spanning music, literature and the peculiarities of the everyday. Employing humour, subversion and contradiction as essential tools for discovery, the work moves beyond, to examine the underlying logic of fashion itself. At the centre of her practice is a commitment to conceptual clarity, in which material responsibility and artisanal engagement are understood as integral to the design process. Bridging rigorous research with an emphasis on longevity, her work seeks to establish a sense of permanence, ensuring that intention and integrity remain inseparable.

Receiving the LVMH Scholarship is profoundly meaningful to Tisya, representing both a significant recognition of her practice and an invaluable financial support to further its development. It provides a meaningful base from which to pursue her ambitions with greater independence and conviction.

Tristan Oboura-Bongo

Tristan Tsiena Oboura is a Belgo-Congolese designer studying Fashion Design with Print at Central Saint Martins, London. His label, Tsiena, takes its name from the Congolese village of his ancestors, whose culture was passed down through family stories and practices, including the sewing of traditional fabrics. Growing up in Brussels, where cultures, languages and styles constantly meet, shaped a vision influenced by both the energy of the street and the legacy of his roots.

A strong foundation in drawing underpins his practice: every collection begins on paper, where line, proportion and pattern take shape before becoming print and garment. His work brings ancestral patterns, symbols and craftsmanship into dialogue with urban fashion, bridging tradition and modernity.

The LVMH Scholarship has been instrumental in his development, providing not only financial support but also invaluable mentoring and opportunities to engage with the wider fashion industry through LVMH activities. This support has helped him bring one of his most significant personal projects to completion, turning a long-standing ambition into reality. Beyond its practical impact, the scholarship encourages him to push his boundaries, deepen his understanding of the industry and continue developing the technical skills needed to translate his imagination and drawings into garments.

Johannes Warnke

My design work is composed through movement and colour, using sculptural draping, dyeing, and circular making processes. Inspired by my background in dance and painting, I create fluid silhouettes that are made by movement and for movement, using draping as my brush and dyeing as my paint to create garments that feel composed from all angles. I am particularly interested in developing more environmentally responsible approaches to occasionwear and performance dressing, creating work that balances sculptural form, movement, and sustainability.

The LVMH scholarship has allowed me to work with greater ambition and expand the scale of my projects. It gave me the freedom to explore dance and dancewear as the starting point for my pre-collection, design for a non-female body for the first time, and experiment with natural dyes, knitwear, and new construction techniques. By reducing financial pressures and the need for freelance work, the funding has enabled me to spend more time in the studio developing my collection through research, sampling, and making. It has also enabled me to purchase specialist dance-related deadstock fabrics, knit yarns, natural dyes, trimmings, sampling materials, and sewing equipment that would otherwise have been beyond my budget. As a result, I have been able to push my practice further, take creative risks, and realise a more ambitious and technically developed body of work.

Olivia Stewart

Receiving the LVMH scholarship has made an enormous difference to my experience studying MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins. Living with two chronic illnesses, the financial support has been particularly meaningful, relieving a significant amount of pressure and allowing me to dedicate more time and energy to my work and wellbeing.

More importantly, it has given me the freedom to pursue ideas with greater ambition and curiosity. The research for my final collection involves travelling across the country to meet and document women and their relationships with clothing, a process requiring considerable time, resources and commitment. The scholarship has allowed me to approach this research with the depth and consideration it deserves.

Beyond the financial support, being recognised and supported by LVMH has also given me greater confidence in the direction of my work. The mentorship programme presents a unique opportunity to learn from someone whose career I admire and aspire towards.
