Last week the BA Fashion Class of 2023 shared their final work in a euphoric catwalk show in the Street at Granary Square, part CSM Shows 2023.
Models criss crossed the runway in garment collections by our 135 graduating BA Fashion students, a collision of fabrics, forms and stories told. The show was streamed live and watched by an in-person audience and staff and students who viewed the show from the balconies above.
This year we have 135 students graduating from BA Fashion. From all corners of the globe, they are a dynamic mix of creative thinkers who force us all to consider the future and the impact of fashion. These students experienced the challenges of lockdown but have thrived to produce collections that are often nostalgic, and garment driven which is unusual for BA Fashion, But fundamentally the students are brilliant storytellers and all collections are communicating important global issues including diversity, community, inequality and the climate crisis. I am incredibly proud of the students and their achievement.
