Revolutions

Christopher Bellamy

REVOLUTIONS is a showcase of 16 projects from five cohorts of Masters in Biodesign at Central Saint Martins.

Since 2019, MA Biodesign has developed workflows that embed biological systems, data and interconnectedness into design processes to revalue, remediate, regenerate, and revolutionise. The work shown integrates biological systems and their interconnectedness, adaptation, and circularity in different ways, to find solutions to complex environmental and social issues.

Biodesign is an emergent field, with new trends rapidly developing. Like in the natural world, each designer’s creative process evolves the scientific knowledge and creative work which came before it.

Exhibited chronologically along a delicate continuous ribbon, viewers are invited to follow the evolution of the intricate process of Biodesign, and to consider how each project may be an ancestor for your next REVOLUTION.
