Today MullenLowe Group has announced the first wave of nominees for this year’s NOVA Awards.

With Degree Show season right around the corner and our students about to unveil their final projects for the first time, it’s time to welcome back the NOVA Awards. The annual awards, presented by global creative communications network MullenLowe Group, celebrate the exceptional, innovative, boundary-breaking projects from across the Degree Shows.

From Camila Gonzalez Corea’s emoji-based images to Yajing Hu exploration of grief and Caglar Tahiroglu’s collaborative work about forced displacement to Hannah Doucet’s unfolding, live installation, the list of nominees from Show One: Art reflects the diverse nature of works on display in this year’s show.

The MullenLowe Group NOVA Awards cover all the Programmes in both Degree Show One: Art and Show Two: Design. The final five prizes will be awarded in July. Show One: Art opens to the public on Wednesday 23 May  – follow the shows and the awards using #MLGNOVA #CSMemerge.

2018 marks the 8th year of the MullenLowe NOVA Awards. The NOVA Awards are now established as a major event in the Central Saint Martins year, celebrating the most exceptional work from across the College. The partnership has recently been shortlisted for the Corporate Engagement Awards 2018, in the Arts and Culture Programme category. Launched in 2011 by Communicate magazine, the awards programme celebrates business collaborations that have excelled and push the boundaries. The winners will be announced on 26 June 2018.
