Carole Collet, Professor in Design for Sustainable Futures and Founder of the Design & Living Systems Lab at Central Saint Martins, has just been appointed to the newly-created role of CSM LVMH Director of Sustainable Innovation.
In this position she will lead the College’s collaboration with LVMH and its Maisons teams, driving education, research and development across both CSM and LVMH. The role will support curriculum development to embed sustainable innovation across disciplines and create ambitious projects with LVMH Maisons that will address the challenges the luxury industry faces. Collet will embrace the Group’s long held commitment to constantly strive for excellence in innovation and adhere closely to the College’s ethos of restless provocation to break new ground.
Researcher, designer, curator and educator – making, framing, communicating knowledge – Carole Collet is ideally qualified to lead the partnership. Her role, to embed sustainability into the curriculum across disciplines, provoke new solutions for the delivery of sustainable innovation in luxury through projects with LVMH Maisons and nurture young talent with scholarships and creative opportunities, is a challenge that she embraces.
“I am delighted to take on this new role. I am looking forward to grow new sustainable innovation propositions together and to contribute to writing the next chapter of our visionary partnership.”
