On Wednesday 26 March, prospective students will have the chance to meet and discuss MRes Art: Moving Image with the Course Leader Dr Lucy Reynolds and LUX Director Benjamin Cook.

The two-year course leads scholarship and develops new discourses on artists’ moving image. It is founded on strong links with LUX, the key UK agency supporting practice in this field. As the only course of its kind dedicated solely to the study of artist filmmaking, MRES Art: Moving Image offers an in-depth insight into the relevant theories, aesthetics and histories.

The open day will be followed by the public lecture ‘What was British independent film?’ by Colin Perry, a writer and researcher based at Central Saint Martins. The talk is part of an ongoing series of presentations by key thinkers on contemporary moving image practice, sponsored by the LUX and our Mres Art: Moving Image programme.

Both events will take place at LUX, 3rd Floor, 18 Shacklewell Lane, London, E8 2EZ. Contact lucy@lux.org.uk to attend the open day between 4-6pm. Lecture tickets can be booked through Eventbrite.
