In a talk at Central Saint Martins on 17 March 2014, MA Material Futures Practitoner in Residence Neil Harbisson unveiled details of the first human antenna implant that allows him not only to perceive colour as sound but connect live to the colours that others see.
Neil Harbisson live demo-ed his new remote capability and connected live to New York and Barcelona where people sent him images with colour information which could be heard live through his specially designed app. The artist can now hear colour even when it is not in front of him.
