maf-lfwCentral Saint Martins’ MA Fashion show sponsored by L’Oreal Professionnel is again on the opening day of London Fashion Week, and is the only course to be included on the official London Fashion Week schedule. The MA show has long been the springboard for many of London’s most exciting designers.

At the recent British Fashion Awards MA Fashion alumni Christopher Kane won Designer of the Year and Simone Rocha, Emerging Womenswear Designer of the Year.

The course continues to collaborate on high level projects with industry, most recently with J.Crew in the development of a cashmere project. J.Crew also partnered with the MA Fashion course to provide a scholarship, alongside previous donors that include Stella McCartney, Isabella Blow Foundation, Theory & Helmut Lang, Creative Scotland and Lane Crawford. This will enable exceptional students to study on the course each year.

Professor Louise Wilson OBE, who leads the MA Fashion course, continues to be recognised for her pivotal role to the fashion industry. This year, she was the only British educationalist to be featured in The Business of Fashion 500 and has recently been selected as one of 20 in the Fashion Category of Debrett’s 500 Most Influential People in Britain.
