Last night saw a bundle of speeches, performances and artworks combine at the College to celebrate the launch of Creative Unions
Creative Unions is our urgent and necessary platform to make clear that creativity knows no boundaries.
Jeremy Till, Head of Central Saint Martins
The evening saw the colourful launch of the Creative Unions event toolkit full of customisable posters, badges and stickers. complete with a bespoke downloadable typeface titled Utopia. As well as the event pack (available to anyone planning an exhibition or project that fits with the Creative Unions ethos) this was also the opportunity to invite staff and students of Central Saint Martins to apply for support for their own projects.
Staff, students, alumni and friends took the stage to speak their minds about creativity and the importance of cross-cultural collaboration and tolerance. Work on show included MA Acting students performing by excerpts from Carol Ann Duffy’s My Country, and Know No Borders, a typographic installation constructed from Visa applications by BA Graphic Communication Design students Daragh Anderson and Ollie Pearson. We were honoured that a performance of Eurobitch’s new song ‘Hey’ closed the proceedings.
