Three bright young designers from Central Saint Martins have been handpicked to be part of the Aram Graduates 2014 show in London’s Covent Garden.

Featured will be Olivia Aspinall (BA Textile Design), Troels Flensted (BA Product Design) and Robyn Smith (BA Jewellery Design).

Aram Graduates 2014 takes its cue from the graduate shows Aram ran between 1988 and 1992. These shows were the first to display work by designers including Sebastian Bergne, Adam Brinkworth, Tom Lloyd, Konstantin Grcic, Thomas Heatherwick, Wakako Kishimoto and Luke Pearson.

To celebrate 50 years of its history, Aram Gallery has revived the tradition. This new show, which runs 21 July to 23 August 2014, presents the work of 30 graduates from UK design schools.

Olivia Aspinall

‘Prime Matter’, Aspinall’s graduation project, takes the raw materials of chalk and coal and transforms them through various processes into bespoke surfaces.

Troels Flensted

At Flensted’s ‘High Street Factory’ he pours different colours of material into moulds, letting the material flow together and create unpredictable patterns.

Robyn Smith

Smith’s ‘Sports Day’ collection was inspired by the emotions, equipment and adornment associated with school sports days.
