Our Degree Shows are renowned for boundary-pushing work and thriving creativity. Each year, people flock to Central Saint Martins to see fresh ideas from emerging artists and designers.
The shows also pull in huge numbers of industry professionals looking for new talent.
Last year, around 57,000 people came through our doors during the course of Show One and Show Two. With around 1,300 students graduating, the work on display spanned a wide variety of different disciplines.
On the day, the magnitude of the Degree Shows is clear to see. But what about the hard graft that takes place in the weeks and months before?
In the run-up to summer, we’ll talk to the people who make the shows such a success. From communicating creative energy to ensuring the lights don’t fail – they’ve got it covered.
Our series will look at:
- how we create a visual identity
- what we consider when filling the space
- the measures we take to avert disaster
- the way we set the stage
- how we nurture and highlight talent.
