Last night the British Fashion Council hosted their annual Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall with 4,000 guests from across the globe. A total of twelve CSM Fashion alumni were nominated for awards, with the below names taking home a John Pawson-designed Swarovski crystal trophy.

  • Special Recognition Award for Innovation: Stella McCartney OBE (BA Fashion)
  • British Emerging Talent Menswear: Charles Jeffrey for Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY (BA Fashion and MA Fashion)
  • British Emerging Talent Womenswear: Michael Halpern for Halpern (Graduate Diploma in Fashion and MA Fashion)
  • British Designer of the Year Menswear: Craig Green for CRAIG GREEN (Foundation, BA Fashion, MA Fashion)
Stella McCartney, graduate of BA Fashion, deserves her Special Recognition Award for Innovation in fashion. Managing her own sustainable viscose forest in Sweden shows extraordinary commitment. We encourage students to consider sustainability, to both planet and people, throughout their course and her stance inspires many to set high standards in their own work.

It was an evening of fun and crystal glamour which brought together a super-super celebrity crowd interviewed on the red carpet by Muppets star Miss Piggy. Congratulations to the three MA Fashion winners Michael Halpern, Charles Jeffrey and Craig Green, and to our other stellar award nominees Christopher Kane, Matty Bovan, Phoebe English, Regina Pyo, Roksanda Ilincic… Congratulations to all!
