Acclaimed Drama Centre London alumni Michael Fassbender and Tom Hardy have just been nominated for prestigious Academy Awards.
Fassbender, who won Best Supporting Actor last year, has been nominated as Best Actor for his role as Steve Jobs. Hardy who stars alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
Central Saint Martins alumni also made up three of the five nominations in the Best Costume Design category with previous Oscar winner and nominee Sandy Powell selected for her work on both Cinderella and Carol. Jenny Beavan, another previous winner and eight-time nominee in the category, has been nominated for her work on George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road.
The winners will be announced at the 88th Academy Awards ceremony which takes place on 28 February.
