In tandem with the Savage Beauty exhibition at the V&A and using themes in Alexander McQueen’s work, the brief was to design an ambitious piece that also celebrated Swarovski crystal or gemstones.
Ten students from BA Jewellery Design were selected and to conclude the project last weekend they presented their work as part of the Extreme McQueen: How to Wear Accessories seminar.
In front of an audience of over 150 people they discussed their research and development process and showcased their final pieces. They also exhibited their work at the V&A between 1 to 31 May alongside the main Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition and presented V&A Connects with Swarovski.
