I am the Mentor and Placement Broker on MA Narrative Environments.
I come from Athens, Greece and defines myself as a 'curarchitect'; a curator with a special care for space. I hold a diploma in Architecture (National Technical University of Athens) and an MA in Narrative Environments (Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London), awarded with the Vice Chancellor Scholarship and the MANE Bursary.
My multidisciplinary background shaped an understanding of the space as a vessel of meaning and agency. As a creative individual I derived a lot in different design fields including the fashion industry where I worked as a set designer for the New York Fashion Week 2016 at Bureau Betak. I currently work at SimonLeach Design as an exhibition designer, collaborating with museums and institutions such as V&A Museum of Childhood, The British Library, Old Royal Naval College and The Museum of Oxford.
My involvement in the arts world also includes curating the exhibition “DeCorbuziers” (2015), a neon-pop memorial for Le Corbusier, at Romantso, Athens, with the support of NTUA and Fondation Le Corbusier. My practice as a new-media and performance artist engages with topics such as the impact of social media and the digitalisation of our sensory experience. I have exhibited my work and performed in multiple venues including Biennale Larnaca (Larnaca, 2018), Window Space Gallery of Whitechapel Gallery (2017), Deptford X (2017), Lethaby Gallery (2017), YiHaus (Shanghai, 2016), La Rinascente (Milan, 2016), the Greek Pavilion at Venice Biennale 15th International Architecture Exhibition (Venice, 2016). I am currently a candidate PhD student at CSM, investigating the current curatorial practices in the times of the accelerating ‘phygical’ phenomenon.
